Where the wind goes, she had to follow. With no intention in lingering at one spot for so long, the brown fae kept to herself on her lonesome travel. Alone with her thoughts with a journey that never stopped. No matter where Venus was, she found herself longing to move on. The newfound vagabond was never wholly satisfied with her taste for the extensive travels, however, there was something different about where she found herself. Orange hues gazed upon the eternal autumn forest, taking in the breathtaking space. While the season was winter, it never whisked the fall leaves away that surrounded her.

A deep exhaled flared her nostrils, her limb slowly pressing onward to continue her travel.

This was the price Venus accepted to pay when it came to the lifestyle she was granted. The fae left behind everything she held dear in a land so far from here with no guidance from her former friends and family. Even the so-called deity they worshipped fell silent during her lonesome path. Their silence made her bitter, the doubt that plagued her thought as she wondered if they were even worth the effort to seek guidance from. Inquiries her god, their god too often was tiring when there was no direct answer given back to her.

Venus paused for a moment. Her paws ceasing their movement from underneath her body as she craned her neck forward in search of something. Anything capturing her eye, anything that can distract her current train of thought.

Atarah, Female Hummingbird

Things were - well finally getting back to normal in a sense. She was home and Dhara and her while things were uncertain, the ground of their relationship somewhat shaky and unsteady. The emotions that fluttered between them were confusing and intimidating and Elle didn't really know where they stood yet, only that they were vastly important to one another, and they couldn't bear to hurt one another again. The woman sighed, glancing up with a small smile as her hummingbird followed her along their well known path through the great red wood. The buzzing of Atarah's wings was always a sound that brought a sense of peace to the girl, to know that she would never be truly alone with the small bird at her side.

Broad paws pressed into the cool earth, for the temperatures in Nidria were changing beginning to drop as the northern winds moved in, and soon even the red wood in its eternal colors of fall would be swept beneath a blanket of white. The fog on her breath told of the fore-coming snow, but she would be lying if she said that winter wasn't beautiful, a time for play and to reconnect with friends through the harsh weather, but Dhara - was really all she had.

Weaving through the red wood the woman came to a paws, earthen audits drawing atop her crown around her small antlers as she caught sight of the other - just a few feet away, the woman was draped in greys, from dark upon her back to light upon her belly. She observed for a moment, before Atarah would shoot ahead zipping around the stranger before coming close before rounding toward the girls face. The hummingbird would give a tilt of her head before flying off to where Elle was approaching with a smile a soft chuckle emanating from her jaws.

"Don't mind Atarah, she's a curious little bird" Elle offered gently. She dipped her head then, her small nub of a tail wiggling upon her backside "I'm Eiliethyia by the way, but most just call me Elle" she mused, Elle was way easier for others to remember. She slowly lowered herself upon her haunches, head tilting "What brings ya to the red wood?" if anything Elle was good at being forward, she didn't sneak around like some might around a new wolf, in fact she didn't feel much hesitation at all, she assumed that most, if not all were not there to harm one another. A blissful naivety of hers.

The moment of silence allowed the brown fae to reflect. Venus was abandoned in this world, without her family and a god for guidance. Every step taken was for the sake of survival. It is why she stood still, allowing the gentle breeze to brush up against her cheek. The simplicity of things is what she struggled to savior during times like this. The movement picked up once again for the born fae. The lonesome woman traversed deeper into the woods where she was beginning to hope for some game to come across.

With ears perked and her eyes alert, she gradually shifted her head as she extended her silent observation. The vast autumn forest provided beauty, surely it can sustain life. For a moment, Venus encountered nothing. Her lips curled downward just slightly, forming a slight frown when it became apparent there was nothing here for her. Just as she shifted her body, her limp reaching out to continue moving, she was forced to cease so suddenly. A puny creature observing Venus so closely it practically startled her. A deep growl rumbled from her throat, she narrowed her eyes and followed the small bird until she found another wolf standing before her.

Her ears pinned, orange hue flicked to the woman’s face and antlers as she slowly inched away when she spoke. Apparently, the curious bird was identified as Atarah. “Do you often allow that pet of yours to approach strangers so casually?” Her tail flicked in annoyance, Venus did not bare her teeth or felt the furs along her back become rigid for this woman did not pose as a threat. She did not enjoy how close the bird was from her face. The woman introduced herself as Eileithyia, a peculiar shade of green draped her body with stripes that hugged her large frame. She was pleasant to look at.

“What brings ya to the red wood?” The question that rolled from her lips did not warrant a prompt answer from the brown fae. She blinked, exhaling deeply as she tried finding the right words to answer her inquiry. “I’m searching for something…” She spoke softly this time, flicking her gaze to the forest itself to remind herself what she desperately desired. “I’m looking for answers. Guidance maybe.”

The bird wouldn't take kindly to how the other wolf reacted, and as a result once she returned to Elle, Atarah fluffed up her feathers, azure chest puffing as she narrowed her eyes. It was easy to ignore, but then again she was used to Atarah's feisty attitude.

The woman backed off - and Elle felt her confidence waiver, ears of green flickering back slightly “Do you often allow that pet of yours to approach strangers so casually?” came the words, irritation lining the syllables, her teal gaze shifted dropping to earth as she shuffled her paws with pressing uncertainty. The response was unexpected, Atarah didn't do anything wrong, so why was the grey fae so cold on the topic? "Well I..." the girl would mumble, her eyes shifting from the womans face and back to the ground, finding it difficult to hold her gaze now. "Atarah is harmless" it was the truth, aside from the birds innately kind nature, she was also tiny in comparison to even an average bird, any wolf could easily crush her beneath their weight if they wanted to. She just couldn't fathom how the bird was such a bother. She sighed, lowering her haunches upon the cold soil of the red gate.

“I’m searching for something…” thankfully this meant Elle could focus on something other than the awkward tension that built up around the pair. Orbs of teal danced up finding her honeyed eyes with curiosity, her right ear would curve around to listen. “I’m looking for answers. Guidance maybe.”  the girl gave a gentle tilt of her large skull. "Maybe I can help" a pause, her other audit pulling atop her crown. "What kind of answers are you looking for?" the inquire brought ideas through her head, shifting her weight to rest more on her hip than rump.
